Nancy Gerardy

Nancy Gerardy is a gifted education coordinator, academic advisor and instructor in the Department of Special Education. Nancy’s career as an educator includes public school teaching in both regular and gifted classrooms, K-12 gifted coordinator for the Columbia Public Schools, and University of Missouri graduate faculty specializing in gifted education in the College of Education, Department of Special Education.

She was Missouri Teacher of the Year finalist 1994, 1995, CCTA Outstanding Elementary Education, 1992, MSTA Outstanding District Administrator, 2001, University of Missouri Excellence in Education Award 2006, College of Education High Flyers Award consistently 1997- present. Special interests throughout her career have included curriculum and instruction for gifted and talented students and advocating for the academic and social emotional needs of gifted children and youth.
