Engaging with others, learning from each other, and supporting one another are key components of our statewide Kinship Navigator program. ParentLink is proud to offer a variety of educational and peer connection opportunities for kinship caregivers across the state.

Virtual Opportunities

Because our Informational and Peer Empowerment meetings are offered virtually via Zoom, anyone anywhere in the state can participate through their computer or phone. Our monthly Informational Kinship Empowerment meetings provide educational information from qualified presenters on topics relevant to the unique needs of kinship caregivers. Our monthly Kinship Peer to Peer Empowerment meetings offer kinship caregivers an opportunity for reflection, self-care, and connection with other kinship caregivers and ParentLink staff.

Participation is free and door prizes are provided! All kinship caregivers, foster parents, and professionals serving families are welcome to join us!

In-person Opportunities

Connecting with others and growing relationships in a personal setting is an important part of providing support. We offer information on topics ranging from trauma-informed parenting and parental substance abuse and overdose to cultural humility and depression in relative caregivers in face-to-face settings.

To learn more about upcoming in-person educational opportunities, call our KIN-4-KID line at 1-833-546-4543 to get connected to a Kinship Navigator.
