The Professional Staff Council would like to congratulate the October Porter Graham Staff Excellence Award recipient: Kim Barnthouse! Kim is an Administrative Assistant for Pre-Employment Transition Services.
Lauralyn Fry’s nomination
Kim has performed her duties in a manner well beyond the standards for her position as support for the Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) program. She is responsible, dependable, and willing to take on additional tasks to make the program run effectively. Kim is always willing to assist with new projects, offer ideas for making the work or tasks of Pre-Employment Transition Services staff more efficient, and is extremely valuable to the team and the school districts we serve across Missouri. Our Pre-ETS program would not run as smoothly without Kim’s support and dedication to the program and its staff members.
Established by former Interim Dean Rose Porter, the Porter Graham Staff Excellence Award celebrates the dedication, resolve, leadership, and overall excellence of individuals making significant contributions to the MU College of Education & Human Development. Rose Porter has always been a strong advocate for staff, noting that “they keep the place running.” Jill Williams-Graham (M ED 1990) and her husband Dr. Steven Graham, Sr. Associate Vice-President, UM System, joined Dr. Rose Porter and her husband Dr. Michael Porter, recognizing the immense impacts staff have in the running of the college.
