Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) Accreditation Awarded!

College of Education Faculty and Staff,

We have exciting news about our Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) status. We received full accreditation with no Areas for Improvement or Stipulations.

This accreditation status is awarded for all of our teacher certification areas, including those in the College of Education, A&S (Music Education and World Languages Education), and CAFNR (Agriculture Education). In addition, this provides accreditation for our PK12 Leadership Certification, School Psychology, and School Counseling programs at the Master’s/Educational Specialist level.

Thank you to all of those who worked on this report (particularly Sankalp Shivaprkash, Dr. Laurie Kingsley, Dr. Lisa Goran, Dr. Soo-Yeon Cho, Kim Nuetzmann, Dr. Beth Whittaker, Dr. Chris Slaten, and Dr. Cheryl Offutt) and supported our continuous improvement efforts to earn this recognition!!! The CAEP accreditation will be in place for 7 years, and we will continue to submit data and annual reports as part of this accreditation process.
