Whitley Melton

Whitley Melton joined the RPDC Literacy Team in 2022, after completing 12 years in public schools across the state.  Whitley spent her career in special education, intermediate grade levels, and most recently was a reading interventionist and literacy coach.  Whitley received her undergraduate degree and certifications (Elementary Education and Middle School Social Sciences) from Hannibal-LaGrange University in 2010.  She also received her master’s degree and state certification from Hannibal-LaGrange University in 2017 (Special Reading K-12), as well as earned a state certification in Mild/Moderate K-12 Special Education.  In 2020, Whitley received her specialist degree from William Woods (Elementary Administration and Special Education Administration).
