Sara L. Prewett, earned her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Missouri in 2016. She was most recently a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Missouri. Her research focuses on K-12 students’ academic and social-emotional learning success. Her expertise is in building high quality teacher-student relationships, using effective discipline techniques, and developing prosocial behaviors.
She is currently the principal investigator on a $165,000 grant to evaluate the effectiveness of a social-emotional learning program called, The Leader in Me, and a co-investigator on a federally funded Education Innovation and Research development grant called, Prosocial and Active Learning (PAL) Classrooms http://pal.emints.org/.
