My program of research investigates practices and instructional designs that promote meaningful online learning with technologies. I specifically investigate the effects of question prompts to scaffold interactive argumentation during ill-structured problem solving processes in asynchronous online discussion forums. I also investigate UX and usability aspects of micro-mobile learning and online learning to promote effective learning, especially for older adult learners. Another area of research I am particularly interested in is the application of data science in education.
