Dr. Kim Presko is a Missouri Leadership Development System specialist for the Heart of Missouri.

A retired middle school and high school teacher and principal, Kim holds a bachelor’s degree in Secondary mathematics, and a master’s, specialist and doctorate from the University of Missouri Columbia. Dr. Presko served 25 years of her career as a middle level assistant principal and principal at Oakland Junior High and opened Muriel Battle High School as the principal in Columbia, Missouri.

As Missouri Leadership Development System specialists, the team provides a true system of support for our education leaders from Aspiring to Transformational levels. The team presents the MLDS content and Coaching Labs in regional cohorts as well as in district led professional development initiatives. The MLDS content covers topics of Critical Firsts, Instructional Leadership, Understanding Self and Others, Decision- Making, School Culture, Time Management, Leading Change, Communication, Human Resource Development and Leadership Systems.

Through our work, we can also provide paid Mentors for our newest administrators. The MLDS content is co-authored with Mike Rutherford who provides all MLDS Specialist with facilitation skills to share with leaders.
