Kanu is a Ph.D. candidate at the School of Information Science & Learning Technologies (SISLT) at the University of Missouri-Columbia. She is from India and holds a BE degree in Electronics and Telecommunications (2003) from Pune University in India, followed by MS degree in Information Systems (2011) from Drexel University in Philadelphia. Before joining her Ph.D. studies in 2019, she had worked as an Information Technology process consultant at Accenture Solutions in India from 2012 to 2018. She is broadly interested in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW). Her research interests include information and interaction design, human-centered computing, and collaborative learning in a distributed environment, including workplaces and higher education.
