Jill Ostrow received her doctorate in literacy education from The University of Maine. Prior to that, she was a visiting assistant professor at Lewis & Clark College. Before becoming a professor, she taught elementary school for nearly twenty years in Chicago, London, and Portland, OR. After spending 8 years living in Columbia (missing the ocean and mountains), she moved back to Portland and now teaches full time online. Her interests include teacher research, innovation and creativity in teaching and learning, and on-site, on-going professional development.
