Jill Clingan is a Composition and Literature Lead Teacher in Mizzou Academy’s co-teach program. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Southwest Baptist University and a Master of Arts degree in English Literature from Kansas State University.
Before coming to Mizzou Academy, Ms. Clingan taught composition and literature courses at Kansas State University and then homeschooled her daughter. Now, along with teaching 9th- and 10th-grade language arts courses, she also writes literature and grammar curriculum. She is passionate about forming meaningful connections with colleagues and students and is working on a writing project that will help teachers integrate gender studies curriculum in the classroom.
When she is not teaching or writing, Ms. Clingan enjoys reading, cooking, long walks, and spending time with her family and her motley myriad of chickens and ducks in Peculiar, Missouri.
