Heather Noe is a K-12 Math Consultant for the Heart of Missouri. A former secondary school teacher in math and Spanish, Heather holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics Education and a Master’s Degree in Educational Technology both from the University of Missouri. As a PDC member and chair, Heather continually sought to improve her professional development and became an eMINTS certified teacher. She taught Spanish and high school math for eight years, then switched to middle school where she taught grades 6-8 including Algebra until she retired. As a part of the math consultants’ team, Heather provides large and small group training in the areas of math fluency, how to use DESE documents (Item Specifications, Item Assessment Reports, Priority Standards, Crosswalks, etc.) to effectively improve math curriculum, number talks, building thinking classrooms, integrating the math practices into the classroom, as well as other topics. Heather is excited to work with the Heart of Missouri regional schools to provide free on-site math professional development!
