Heather Boyd

Heather Boyd is a current Ph.D. student at the School of Information Science and Learning Technologies at the University of Missouri. Heather received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with teacher licensure in 2013. Heather began her career in the e-learning industry in 2015 as the Curriculum & Instruction Manager for a K-12 online learning provider. Her role expanded in 2016 to include teaching online courses as an adjunct high school Biology instructor. Her passion for the field of learning technologies led her to earn her Master of Education in Learning, Design, and Technology from the University of Georgia in 2019. Heather’s research interests include learner-centered design, social equity, self-efficacy, and executive function in technology-driven learning environments.
