Dr. David Aguayo, an immigrant from Mexico, earned his Ph.D. at the University of Missouri. As a scholar-practitioner, his inquiry focuses on schools and their collaborative practices with families and local non-for-profits. It takes a (collaborative) village to educate equitably. Thus, Dr. Aguayo problematizes collaboration using (post)(anti)colonial inquiry to inform practices that can build empathy and trust between educators and minoritized populations.
