Brandon Orr, assistant teaching professor in Educational, School, and Counseling Psychology, concentrates his efforts in Sport Psychology and The Positive Coaching Masters Program.  He earned his Doctorate in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Applied Sport Psychology from the University of Missouri.  His dissertation, The Consequence of Winning, focused on the intersection between moral function and moral reasoning, achievement motivation, and criterion of success within Division I athletes.

His research interests include moral philosophy and moral psychology, moral function and moral reasoning within intercollegiate athletics, resiliency, philosophy of sport, as well as, general critique for the role sport holds in society and within higher education.  His applied focus within performance enhancement centers on resiliency, toughness, grit, and criterion of success as constructs for persistence towards goal achievement and optimal performance.
