The Boone County Schools Mental Health Coalition was created to meet the mental health needs of school-aged children in Boone County, Missouri. It is one of the first partnerships of its kind formed between researchers and educators across an entire county for the purpose of improving the emotional and behavioral health of children.

The coalition, which includes a coordinated and collaborative mental health support system across all Boone County schools, includes six independent school districts in Boone County, in addition to researchers and mental health experts from the Department of Educational, School and Counseling Psychology at the University of Missouri College of Education; Missouri Prevention Science Institute; and the University of Missouri School of Social Work.
