A Way With Words and Numbers is a community-based non-profit program that teams undergraduate students from the University of Missouri with local children to improve their struggling literacy and mathematics skills. The program currently provides tutoring in 19 public elementary schools, four public middle schools and three community sites in Columbia, Missouri. The community sites include after-school programs offered through the Reflector at the College of Education. Tutors help 2,500 learners annually.
