Art education (PhD)

This degree is a doctorate of philosophy in learning, teaching and curriculum with an emphasis in art education.

This degree is part of the Art Education Program housed in the Department of Learning, Teaching and Curriculum.

This program offers you the opportunity to expand your teaching skills and develop an expertise in conceptualizing, conducting and reporting current research topics in art education.

The PhD in art education is a 72-hour hybrid program of on-campus and online courses beyond a bachelor’s degree. Nine hours of core content courses must be taken on campus at either the beginning or end of your program of study. This program does not lead to certification.
