Conducting a job search as a full-time student can be overwhelming. The key to conducting a successful job search is to start early and set goals for each month before graduation.

  • Begin to determine the types, sizes and and geographic locations of employers you are interested in working for.
  • Have your résumé and cover letters reviewed by our office.

  • Identify references and ask them to prepare letters of recommendation for you. Most employers require three letters of recommendation. It takes an average of four weeks for most letters to be written. Write “thank you” notes to your references once you have received them.
