Mark Clements is the Associate Director and school improvement consultant for the Heart of Missouri, providing support in the areas of Professional Learning Communities, standards referenced teaching, learning, and grading, as well as cognitive engagement, teacher leadership, formative assessment, and curriculum development.

A former secondary teacher and elementary principal, Mark holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Social Studies from Westminster College as well as Masters Degree in School Administration from Lindenwood University.

Mark provides customized professional learning for schools including keynote presentations, whole group training, small group and individual coaching, as well as observation and feedback to teachers and school leaders. He is the facilitator of the Heart of Missouri’s “Shared Leadership for Learning” program, developing internal capacity amongst leadership teams while providing strengths based coaching and feedback.

As Associate Director, Mark manages the Heart of Missouri communications including social media accounts and weekly newsletter. Through our Heart of Missouri YouTube channel, Mark celebrates the work of regional schools and provides on-demand professional development.
