“Pat Brown exemplifies the spirit of the award through his extensive research accomplishments as a graduate student. He is a thoughtful and responsible researcher, making him a wonderful collaborator. He is always eager to take on additional responsibilities. As a researcher, Pat is an outstanding interviewer, often obtaining a more complete data set than other researchers in the project. Pat is not only a strong collaborator, but also a leader among the science education graduate students. He has presented papers at research conferences and published research and practitioner articles in top peer-reviewed journals.”
