Mission Statement

The mission of the MU Assessment and Consultation Clinic is to provide comprehensive, integrative services to meet the educational, developmental and psychosocial needs of children, adults, families, schools, and communities. Services are tailored to meet the unique and specific needs of each child, adult, or family unit with special consideration given to individual differences and multicultural issues including socioeconomic, cultural, racial and gender issues.

Our focus is on health and wellness, emphasizing and building upon strengths, skills and abilities.

We currently offer comprehensive psychological evaluations and interventions for children, adults, couples and families across the lifespan. Services are provided in the areas of giftedness, learning disabilities, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, behavioral and emotional difficulties, and disability and vocational preparedness. Additionally, comprehensive counseling services address a range of issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, death and bereavement, coping with life transitions, eating/body image concerns, sexual orientation, dual career issues, infertility/pregnancy, post-partum adjustment and parenting, social skills, and behavioral and emotional difficulties in children. At the broader school and community levels, we provide on-site consultation and program evaluation services.
