MPER Funded Faculty Research

For the 2008-2009 academic year, the MPER Governing Board approved a budget that provided funding to support faculty research.  The premises of this program were that research is:
    
          1.  Proposals are approved based on the interests/concerns of the MPER public school Partners
          2.  Conducted amongst the MPER membership
          3.  The Governing Board will be kept informed of the proceedings and will be provided a full report
               at the conclusion of the research
          4.  Research will be conducted within a one-year time frame
          5.  An approved proposal will be funded an amount not to exceed $10,000

Improving Adolescent Literacy through Embedded Strategies in the Content Area

Helping School Districts Evaluate Current Needs and Select Evidence-Based Practices  in Early Childhood  Mental Health 
          - Dr. Wendy Reinke, Dr. Keith Herman, & Dr. Melissa Stormont
