MU Partnership for Educational Renewal

MPER Goals for 2011-2012

Dan Lowry reviewed the following MPER goals for the year:

  1. Make it possible for the MPER Partnership to remain stable by keeping annual dues at a reduced level of $1,000 per member and yet maintain quality programs.

  2. To enhance our Partnership based on shared collaboration between higher education and K-12 to impact the learning environment.

  3. Continue the collaboration between MPER and the Heart of Mo. RPDC in initiating professional development programs that (1) focused on identified public school learning needs and (2) utilized the expertise of MU faculty as facilitators.

  4. To support the development of the teachers of tomorrow that have the skills needed for the classrooms of the 21st century (i.e. collaborative teaching skills, using technology to enhance student learning, utilizing assessment and data to impact student learning)
