Teacher Development Program in Mental Health
The University of Missouri - Columbia's Teacher Development Program (TDP) is the result of work by public school educators, University faculty, a thorough review of the current research literature, and a thorough review and evaluation of educational programs nationwide. Today, the program is delivered in collaboration with approximately 80 Missouri schools in 23 school districts that are members of the Missouri Partnership for Education Renewal.
As part of this partnership, the Center for the Advancement of Mental Health Practices in Schools (CAMHPS) and TDP are committed to addressing students' mental health needs. The Teacher Development Program in Mental Health project is a major step in meeting that goal. With more than ten educational components and hundreds of links to online resources, the TDPMH project is an innovative solution that helps equip today's educators with the tools they need to meet their students' educational and social-emotional needs.
