Benton
Benton Adventure Club meets at Benton Elementary School, located at 1410 Hinkson Avenue. The average enrollment for our program is 20 children AM/PM. Benton Adventure Club is currently staffed by two Part-time Site Facilitators as well as three site assistants, all University of Missouri students.
In the morning we meet in the gym/cafeteria, and in the afternoon we meet in room 106. We have daily access to the gym after 5pm, and always have access to the spacious playground featuring a large grassy playing field, climbers, basketball goals, four square courts, and swing sets. Monday through Thursday afternoons, the children participate in staff-led activities (clubs). The focus of the club varies from week to week to ensure the enjoyment and learning of all children involved.
In the mornings, a parent or an authorized adult must initial the students in on a sign-in sheet. The sheets, printed in weekly increments, have columns for the student's arrival time and for the the initials of the person bringing the student to Adventure Club. A Site Facilitator or Site Assistant will initial in the student in the afternoon; a parent or other authorized adult must initial them out in the afternoon, noting the time that they departed.
We also use a "Where am I?" board to keep track of the students. The board has 4 categories: Playground, Cafeteria, Gym, and Home. It is the students' responsibility to change their own name tag when they arrive in the morning, when they come in the afternoon, and when they decide to leave one area for another. They must also inform a staff member when they leave one area for another; we utilize walkie-talkies so that we may communicate with one another and ensure a student's arrival from one area to another.

| 8:00-8:25 AM | Group game in the gym or outside time (depending on the weather) |
| 8:25-8:30 AM | Clean up and dismissal to breakfast line or class line. (Children are signed out at this time by Site Facilitator) |
Afternoon Schedule

| 3:45-4:00 PM | Snack time in cafeteria. |
| 4:00-4:40 PM | Snack clean up then group game or outside time. |
| 4:40-5:15 PM | JOLT (children choose to do club, homework, reading, or educational computer games during this time. Their choices and progress are recorded monthly for school administration and parents to see.) |

Benton Adventure Club provides a fun, safe, learning environment for Benton students before and after school. We offer a number of choices in activities for the children during both structured and free time. Our staff often design the clubs that we do in an effort to better suit the interests of the children in our program.
