Mizzou Academy offers several programs with different scheduling options. Please see below for information about school and university holidays, as well as important AP calendar dates.
Course Dates
We are a year-round school, and many programs offer rolling enrollments. AP courses follow traditional U.S. high school fall and spring semester format.
2023-24 AP Course Calendar Dates
- Fall 2023: August 16, 2023–December 16, 2023
- Spring 2024: January 11, 2024–May 17, 2024
Regularly Scheduled AP Exam Dates: May 6–10 and May 13–17.
Late-Testing Exam Dates: May 22–24.
Holidays
The University of Missouri has eight (8) official holidays which are counted in the number of days in the course to allow for these dates (ex. if a course ends on a university holiday, an additional day is provided). Mizzou Academy / University of Missouri High School Support Staff will not be available on these dates.

- Friday following Thanksgiving
- Christmas Day — Dec. 25
- Winter Break — From December 24 — January 1, we are observing Winter Break. During this time, we have encouraged our faculty and staff to enjoy time with their loved ones. We hope you are also having a joyous and restorative week.
- If the holiday falls on a weekend, please check with our office for whether the holiday is observed on Monday or Friday.
Intersessions
Mizzou Academy holds professional intersessions two times a year. During the following times, Canvas is still available to students while school is not in session and our offices are closed.
Winter Intersession: January 2 – 9
Summer Intersession: July 1 – 15
