The MU College of Education values your generosity. Private giving enables the college to fulfill its strategic plan, which aims to "Educate Missouri, Our Nation and Our World." Here are a few ways you can support education.

College Critical Needs

  • Creation of an Institute focusing on improved instructional practices in higher education.
  • Expand research focus on at-risk learners to insure all students achieve in math and science through partnerships with School Psychology, Special Education, and Educational Technology.
  • Scholarships to support future teachers targeting high need areas such as urban and rural positions and critical shortage areas including Math/Science/Special Education.
  • Endowed professorships focusing on high need areas in teacher preparation including literacy, math, science and special education.
  • Endowed positions for faculty allow the college to recruit and retain the top-notch faculty conducting this important research.
  • Enable overseas student travel and study with scholarships and graduate assistantships that allow students to gain a firsthand perspective of the world.
  • Create endowed funds for new research, particularly in geography, history and international studies that will discover broad meanings for today’s global society.
  • Creation of working groups on-site to foster research and model/demonstrations within urban schools partnering MU faculty, urban educators, and urban community leaders.
  • Support experimentation with different delivery models, especially with charter schools and specialized academy schools that focus on areas such as performing arts or science and technology.
  • Create extensive graduate student learning environments with assistantship and research positions.
  • Prepare the next generation of scholars and state and national leaders through post-doctoral fellowships.
  • Renovate College of Education facilities so that they provide the latest technologies and capabilities to all students.
  • Create professorships, post-doctoral fellowships, and research funding opportunities to examine the issues of diversity in the classroom.
