The MU Graduate School supports the admission process, however each College of Education graduate program has their own additional admission criteria and application deadlines. Please be aware of both the MU Graduate School requirements, and those of your program of interest.

MU Graduate School Requirements

  • Earned at least a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a college or university recognized by a regional accrediting agency. Colleges and universities from outside the United States must be recognized as degree granting institutions by their country's ministry of education.

  • Earned a 3.0 or better grade point average in the last 60 hours of baccalaureate coursework (for applicants with less than a master’s degree).

  • Sstandardized test such as the GRE or GMAT. Beginning Fall 2005, individual departments will determine if GRE scores are required. Check with the department of interest for details.

  • Completed the TOEFL test (for international applicants only)
