The College of Education dean search was cancelled in January because of the projected reduction in the state appropriation. The search has reopened, and the position announcement is posted on this web site.
Please send names of possible candidates to Linda Cook at cookl@missouri.edu. The search committee will follow-up with all nominated individuals. Anyone wishing to apply should submit a letter expressing interest in and perspectives on the position, curriculum vitae, and other materials supporting their candidacy, including names and contact information for four references. Electronic submission is preferred and may be forwarded to: educdeansearch@missouri.edu. The Search Committee will begin the formal review of applications and nominations in the Fall Semester 2009.

Search underway for new Dean of Education
The University of Missouri seeks a dynamic and visionary leader for the position of Dean of the College of Education. The Dean reports directly to the Provost and has a central role in the University’s academic administration. Through the Council of Deans, the Dean actively contributes to decisions affecting the University at large as well as the College of Education. The Dean is involved centrally in issues including strategic planning, budget, curriculum, facilities, and research. The new Dean will provide vision and leadership to help guide this strong college toward increased national prominence and service to Missouri.
