Tests Required by the College of Education
ACT
Students are required to have an minimum ACT composite score of 22 or SAT score of 1010.
College Basic Subjects Exam (CBASE)
The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education requires students to score 235 or higher on each CBASE section to be accepted into Phase II of the Teacher Development Program. If all sections are not passed within two years from original testing date, the entire exam must be retaken.
Praxis II
Prior to being recommended for Missouri Teacher Certification, all students must achieve the Missouri minimum score required for their particular area of certification. When registering for the Praxis, it is critical that you indicate score reports be sent to MU for Missouri Teacher Certification recommendation. Register On Line for the Praxis
