What if I miss a course in the sequence; do I need to wait a year to take the course?
No. Several courses will be available two or three times per year. However, you might not be able to complete the entire program in a one-year time frame. Your advisor will work with you on timing issues.
I'm not in that big of a hurry; do I have to follow the FastTrack?
No. You decide how soon you want to complete the program requirements. An advisor will work with you to design a program of study the works best for your personal schedule.
Can I begin any semester?
Yes. In fact, there are five starting points: two in the Fall, two in the Spring, and one in the Summer. That's one of the many advantages to eight-week long courses. Your advisor will work with you on timing issues.
What about electives; can I take courses that are not on the list?
Yes. Your advisor will work with you to determine which elective courses are appropriate.
Can I transfer courses from another university?
Yes, you can transfer up to six graduate credit hours from another university, provided:
- The university is on the approved list (most are)
- The courses are recent and relevant
- You earned a grade of "B" or higher
How do I get started?
Go through the Educational Technology Application Process. Follow the steps.
Is the FastTrack option available for the LSDD focus area?
