The Elementary Education Program at the University of Missouri includes degree programs that focus on preparing graduates to teach students in grades one through six. Current degree programs include: Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, Master’s in Curriculum & Instruction (emphasis area Elementary Education), and Educational Specialist, and Doctoral (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) degrees.

Due to the innovative nature of our programs, our undergraduate enrollment has doubled in the past 6 years. Undergraduate students spend an intensive year in elementary classrooms (called the Senior Year On Site Program). Many of our undergraduates continue their education through involvement in the nationally-recognized Fellows program.

Our mission is to prepare reflective professionals who use research-based instructional strategies to better the learning of all students.
